

United Way of Larimer County's Volunteer Center is recognizing National Volunteer Month, "Celebrating People in Action" by advocating and recognizing volunteerism and individuals who dedicate themselves to taking action and solving problems in Larimer County.

Share your volunteer story! Enter your story, or a fellow volunteer’s tale, and enter it for a chance to win a feature in
your local newspaper! Nominations are subject to review by United Way of Larimer County’s Volunteer Center.
Submissions will also be featured on United Way of Larimer County’s website and all participants will receive a token
of appreciation.
Volunteers that submit their hours to the Volunteer Center will receive a coupon from either:
- State of the Community Volunteer Awards
United Way of Larimer County’s premier annual event for those interested in the well-being of our community.
Program includes the Volunteer Award Ceremony, recognizing Seniors, Youth, Groups and Individuals who make a
difference right here in Larimer County.
Support United Way of Larimer County, National Volunteer Month and volunteerism on Facebook.
Non-competitive award that all Americans are eligible to receive, determined by the number of volunteer hours served.
Competitive daily award honoring one exceptional volunteer or volunteer effort from across the entire nation.

Award ceremony that recognizes 50 Loveland-area volunteers for the incredible contribution they make to our
community.
Over two thousand CSU students gather for a day-long service plunge in and around the Fort Collins community! Join
fellow students in planting trees, painting houses, visiting with senior citizens, sorting food, and much more.
Interested agencies need apply.
Annual international event that highlights and celebrates the ongoing contributions of youth to their communities
through volunteer service and service learning. Global Youth Service Day provides an opportunity to recognize young
volunteers who are leading the next generation in service. In Larimer County, we extend this Day of Service to take
place all week long.
Directors of Volunteers in Agencies (DOVIA) of Larimer County is a professional affiliation of Volunteer Program
Managers connecting to discuss, learn and promote volunteerism and volunteer management both locally and state-
wide. Join DOVIA of Larimer County members in honoring a Volunteer Manager who exemplifies outstanding
leadership of volunteers. Submission Deadline: RSVP preferred.
Earth Day, commemorated April 22, enables us to leverage the positive impact volunteers can make on the
environment.
The Estes Park Pride Awards were created as a way for the Town to provide special recognition to its citizens. The
Estes Park Pride Awards(deadline: April 1) will be presented April 23 at the Town of Estes Park Volunteer
Recognition Luncheon. The Volunteer of the Year will receive $250 toward the nonprofit of his or her choice.
Educates volunteers on what it takes to be involved with a Board of Directors and matches volunteers with the needs
of local nonprofits. Interested agencies need apply.
