Volunteering with a Service Club
A service club is a type of volunteer organization where members meet regularly for social outings and to perform charitable works either by direct hands-on efforts or by raising money for other organizations. Members of service clubs volunteer their time and talents to perform valuable community services, while at the same time enjoying camaraderie and valuable networking opportunities with many community leaders and businesses. Service clubs often have established causes or charities of emphasis, giving focus to volunteer initiatives. Oftentimes, the resources of the service club itself can greatly increase the impact of the services provided to the community.
